Med Card Now is obligated by the Privacy Act 1988’s US State Privacy Principles, and we are committed to complying with all applicable privacy laws.
We shall collect your personal information for the purpose of providing you with health care and other directly linked purposes, such as but not limited to: for use by a multidisciplinary treatment team;

To communicate with medical experts, Medicare, or your health insurance provider;
In an emergency if your life is in danger and you are unable to consent;
To keep medical records in accordance with our rules and the law; Or
For any other reason mandated or permitted by law.

To coordinate your care, personal information may be exchanged between Med Card Now and other health care facilities and providers. Med Card Now may use or disclose your personal information to third parties in order to customize and deliver information to you about your care or future health needs under the following conditions:

You have consented;
The use is for a purpose directly related to provide you with health care and you would expect us to use or disclose your personal information in this way;
We have told you that we will disclose your personal information to other organizations or persuade.
We are permitted or obligated by law to do so.

Your information will be obtained directly from you, unless it is necessary to collect it from a relative or another health care practitioner in an emergency. You can also request that your information be amended if you believe it contains incorrect information.
